PulpForm: the new shape of dry-molded fibre packaging
At a time when packaging is being asked to meet increasingly complex environmental, regulatory and functional requirements, PulpForm introduces a new option: a thermoformable airlaid developed by Magic and certified OK Compost Industrial for industrial composting.
It expands the application potential of dry-molding technology, combining functional performance with design flexibility.
Developed through Magic’s ongoing R&D work, PulpForm is a cellulose-based airlaid designed to be shaped using dry-molding technology.
The process makes it possible to produce structured protective packaging without the water-forming stage used in wet-molding.
Compared with traditional wet-molding, which involves forming in water followed by a drying stage, dry-molding is characterised by much shorter production cycles.

PulpForm is designed for a wide range of applications, from protective logistics packaging and food packaging to cosmetics and medical uses.
Its mechanical strength, shape flexibility and compatibility with printing and customisation make PulpForm a practical alternative to rigid plastic and paperboard-based materials for applications requiring rigid, shaped components.
The launch of PulpForm is part of Magic’s broader development path, which began in 2015 with Spongel, the superabsorbent powder developed for integration into absorbent materials, and continued with the start-up of an industrial plant for the production of Airgel g-grade, a cellulose-based airlaid.
With PulpForm, Magic takes a further step in the development of dry-molded fibre solutions, working as a technology partner for applications that require shaped fibre-based components.
Behind each Magic development is a clear direction: creating materials and processes that respond to concrete application needs with practical, efficient solutions.
