TÜV Austria has recently certified G-pad under the OK compost INDUSTRIAL scheme for industrial composting.

Our superabsorbent pad had already passed the required biodegradation and compostability tests, and obtaining the certification marks the completion of a project in which Magic has invested over the past few years.
The work began with the patent for Spongel, a compostable superabsorbent powder, continued with Airgel g-grade, a high-absorbency compostable airlaid material, and led to the development of G-pad, designed for industrial composting and, where permitted by local regulations and collection systems, for disposal with organic waste.

Using a pad certified for industrial composting gives fresh food packaging a different option for managing this component after use.

The certification is a further result of the work carried out over the past few years on absorbent materials and their management at the end of use.
